Sunset Spot at Vågön

This lovely spot on the west side of Vågön is a sunset enthusiast's dream location. It seemed to be very popular evening destination: there is a sauna and fire wood, place for camp fires and toilets; everything newly built and nice. On the other side of the island there is a super-picturesque fishing village Grisslan that we saw from the distance when sailed in to Höga Kusten.

When arrived we were unsure if there is enough water by the pier and consulted a local boat who approached at the same time. No worries: There was a lot of water: Our depth by the pier was about 7 meters and the anchor depth was 15 meters! We were not sure if our 30 meter anchor rope is enough but it just made it - here at Höga Kusten 50 meters rope might not be an overstatement.

We did not have time for sauna and hike to the other side of island as the wind was perfect next morning and invited us to sail to Ulvön. But this all is good to know for future visits.
