Buoy business
We picked a sheltered bay with SXK buoy, I made the inspection on the attachment, relaxed a bit and entertained with magnificent view of water birds and retreated down below for the day time sleep. Let the rain pour...
Not too hot
Yesterday we left Öregrund and sailed a good leg up to North. During the day the weather changed and the crew replaced adding sun block with layering wool socks and Muhoksen villa garments. So we are back to "normal" ;-)

Too hot
Last days the temperature has been almost tropical at around 30C. This is simply too hot for myself and for the crew. The high temperature impacts both sailing and the time in between.
The crew sailing performance decreases. It seems that their cognitive capacity is going down and they cannot sail for so long hours as they would do in cooler weather. The first mate is more vocal about this. She complains the skin becomes sweaty and itchy. And getting headache. And not being able to cook since it is so hot. And thus getting into nutritional unbalance. My thinking is that they probably do not drink enough water. I do not like to drink water either.
Also the heat causes problems in between the sailings. My summer coat does not make difference in this temperature and I need to find shadowy places and I prefer to stay down below. Only after 9 pm I could come to deck, relax on the hatch and enjoy the Sun, see the pic. The crew tried to cool themselves by going down to water from the boat aft, but this is the thing they do even in cooler weather too.

Busy sailing
I have been now at sea since Monday, and too busy for blogging. However, I want to let you know all is well and we have progressed up to North beyond Stockholm archipelago.
We started on Monday afternoon from Kalmar, sailed for 24 hours, and anchored in Harstena for one lovely afternoon and a night. The pic below is sunrise, I will elaborate our first ever overnight sailing in later posts - I can already reveal that we felt very strong feeling of achievement ;-)

Trail runner
The snow gone opens new possibilities - on the snow I like paths but with dry grounds I just go everywhere. My preferred method is to run- I like either proceed slowly all senses in fully activated observing the nature or if I like to change location then I leap and run with full speed. Well, of course a crew member in the other end of leash may slow me down but they are getting faster all the time as I train them.
